WorldatWork Introduces New Compensation Institute


WorldatWork, a global human
resources association
, announced the launch of the WorldatWork Compensation
, a professional development framework comprised of
training and new certifications that will prepare compensation
professionals for more senior-level management roles.

Based on ongoing dialogue with human resources thought leaders and
comprehensive WorldatWork Total Rewards Professional’s Career Census research,
it is clear that the role of the compensation professional is evolving.
Research identifies that the ability to think strategically is one of
the top skills needed for the future professional development of total
rewards professionals, including compensation professionals.

“Now more than ever business leaders are looking for more than technical
mastery from compensation professionals. They want compensation
professionals who think strategically to ensure that programs are
aligned with organizational goals and drive business results,” said Anne
Ruddy, WorldatWork president and CEO.

The WorldatWork Compensation Institute is a comprehensive three-level
professional development framework that will guide practitioners through
every stage of their career, from technical mastery to strategic
proficiency and overall business acumen.

The first level of the Compensation Institute is to acquire the
essential skills by earning one of two existing designations: Certified
Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or the Global Remuneration
Professional (GRP). Updates and new requirements have been added to
these respected designations to better prepare compensation
professionals for the rigorous demands of the profession.

After earning a CCP and/or GRP designation, compensation professionals
can advance to level two of the Institute and participate in
interactive, sequential training events and earn two new designations
that signify advanced proficiency in strategic business skills, earning
an Advanced Certified Compensation Professional (ACCP) designation. At
level three, mastering the application of expertise in driving business
results will earn compensation professionals a Master Certified
Compensation Professional (MCCP) designation.
