FAIRFAX, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
ICF International (ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has named Jim Lawler senior vice president for human resources (HR). Mr. Lawler, who assumes his new position immediately, replaces Candice Mendenhall, who is retiring.
Mr. Lawler is a senior HR leader with more than 30 years of HR experience, including extensive international experience in people-driven businesses. He comes to ICF from TASC, Inc., where he served as chief HR officer as TASC established itself as a standalone company after spinning off from Northrop Grumman. While at TASC, Mr. Lawler stood up the new firm’s HR function, including leading the design and staffing of the HR organization, recruiting key members of the senior leadership team, designing and rolling out the company’s compensation and benefits programs, and developing and implementing key initiatives which enhanced business competitiveness.
Prior to joining TASC, Mr. Lawler served in several senior HR positions at leading global companies, including chief HR officer for Amsterdam-based Royal Ahold, executive vice president of HR for Giant Foods, senior vice president for human resources (CFP Sector) at UK-based Rexam PLC, and various HR-related vice president and director roles at PepsiCo in the United States, Europe and Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia and received an executive coaching certification through Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Program.
“Jim brings an incredible amount of HR experience to ICF during a crucial time of global expansion and growth in our digital and customer engagement business,” ICF International Chairman and CEO Sudhakar Kesavan said. “With this growth comes new challenges in hiring and retaining the right talent and ensuring our benefits are commensurate with our competitors. Jim brings the experience and insight needed to meet these challenges to ensure our career services keep pace with our strategic growth.”
“ICF’s HR needs are changing rapidly as the company identifies new approaches to meeting its clients’ needs,” Mr. Lawler said. “I am delighted to join ICF’s executive leadership team during this exciting time of growth and opportunity.”
