Weatherford is actively recruiting for an HR Assistant who will be responsible for administrative processes/functions for the HR team. Will assisting in all areas of Human Resources, including recruiting, on boarding, benefits, payroll, and HRIS system requirements. This position is responsible for the integrity of the employee file information, employee benefit enrollments, terminations, and all other maintenance of employee files in HRMS system. This position will work out of our Woodlands, Texas location.


  • Answers incoming telephone calls, screens calls, and refers to proper person for handling. Assists directly with routine inquiries.

  • Administer hiring process by generating system created offer letters and delivering pre-hire documents
  • Key information for and retrieve background checks, retrieve drug screen tests, and order and maintain motor vehicle reports.
  • Administer department random drug testing program.
  • Responsible for accurate and complete documentation on all employee paperwork submitted for processing.
  • Maintain confidential files by scanning documents and electronic filing of employee files and all other correspondence.
  • Review and process payroll authorizations for new hire, terminations, some salary increases.
  • Assist with annual performance appraisals for employees in designated locations.
  • Coordinating the employee Referral, Scholarships, Education Assistance and Service Recognition programs.
  • Assist in processing unemployment claims and with Short Term Disability forms & documentation. May also assist in preparing FMLA documents and forms.
  • Code invoices, get approval for payment then submit invoices and expense statements to A/P for payment. Also research vender payment status as needed.
  • Ensuring the consistent application of administrative processes across the department.
  • Communicate new policies and procedures.
  • Availability to work overtime when needed.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.


Bachelor degree in Business Administration or HR-related degree or 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of experience/education required.


  • Microsoft Office -Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Must be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel and management
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to build and maintain relationship with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment, discretion and diplomacy
  • Ability to coordinate diverse activities simultaneously with stringent time frames while performing work requiring speed and accuracy
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to coordinate and provide administrative support
