Cupertino Electric Human Resources Executive Eileen Nelson Honored with Leadership Award from Industry Peers


Engineering and construction leader Cupertino Electric Inc. today announced that Senior Vice President of Human Resources Eileen Nelson was honored with the HR Symposium “Leadership” award during an annual event May 13, 2014 in Santa Clara, California. Recognized for the positive impact that she has made on Cupertino Electric and its people over the last two years, Nelson was one of two Leadership award recipients at this year’s HR industry gathering.

Eileen Nelson is senior vice president of human resources for Cupertino Electric, where she oversees global growth and talent acquisition strategies that are helping position the company for its next major phase of growth. Coming to the construction industry two years ago from a 30-year stint in high-tech, Nelson has successfully implemented targeted training for managers, identified technology improvements and staffed her team with experts to raise the bar and help drive profit at Cupertino Electric. Prior to joining the company, Nelson oversaw the human resources organizations for several Silicon Valley-based companies, including Openwave, eBay and 3Com. She attended City University of New York’s Queens College, has completed the Advanced Program in Organizational Development and Human Resources at Columbia University and serves on the board of CSHRP.
