Chrysler's vice president of human resources retiring

Nancy Rae, vice president of human resources for Chrysler Group LLC, has announced her retirement after 35 years with the Auburn Hills automaker.

She will be replaced by Michael Keegan, currently vice president in charge of supply chain management and corporate sustainability officer, the company said Thursday.

In her leadership role, Nancy has been a highly valued business partner in driving cultural change, advancing leadership and talent development, and in rebuilding the companys workforce through the strategic hiring of more than 17,000 employees since 2009, said CEO Sergio Marchionne, in a statement. We thank her for the many years of tireless dedication to the company. She was particularly helpful and close to me in the selection of the senior leadership that has been responsible for Chrysler Groups comeback since 2009.

Rae joined Chrysler in 1978. Since then, she has held a series of positions with increasing responsibility in the human resources function. She has been in charge of human resources since 2000.

Keegan will continue in his role as head of supply chain management and corporate sustainability until a replacement is named. He also will be a member of the group executive council for Chryslers parent company, Fiat SpA.

The changes are effective Jan. 1.
